Agency:Beijing.China made no concession on the critical issues including New Delhi’s entry into elite Nuclear Suppliers Group and to list Pathankot terror attack mastermind Masood Azhar as a terrorist by United Nations at Sino-India strategic dialogue held in Beijing on Wednesday.
In reply to the Chinese demand for ‘solid evidence’ against Masood Azhar,Foreign Secretary S.Jaishankar told that the extent of Masood Azhar’s action were “well-recorded” and the “burden of proof” was not on India.
By using its veto power,China has repeatedly blocked the attempts to blacklist Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar. Last year, China had put a technical hold twice on India’s application to the UNSC sanctions committee and then again stonewalled a resolutuon moved by United States-backed by UK and France-in January.
S.Jaishankar held extensive talks with top Chinese officials at the upgraded strategic dialogue which was co-chaired by him in Beijing.
